We are back from an amazing time in Park City, Utah, one of our favorite places in the world. If you’ve been following along here for awhile, you know that Andrew and I got engaged and married in Utah, and I don’t know if I ever shared this, but we spent a year living out in Park City way back in the day. Needless to say, it’s a special spot for both of us, filled with many happy memories and the foundation of much of our relationship. Andrew grew up going out there every year for Christmas and the holidays, and we love that we can continue that tradition with our kids now. Park City is truly a magical place during the holidays and ultimate winter wonderland for the kids to enjoy while they wait for Santa. My in-laws and many of our very dear friends spend the holidays out here as well, so it’s truly a special way to spend the holidays. We were lucky enough that Omicron didn’t interrupt our trip and we were able to spend some extra time in the mountains this year, but due to the rise in this new strain of Covid, our trip and family gatherings had to be altered this year and wasn’t exactly what we had initially planned. We tried to do our best to navigate the rise in cases and take every precaution (lots of tests) while also trying to enjoy this special place that we only get to visit once a year. As you know by now, I’m pretty pregnant and therefore, did not get to ski this year. I am still so glad we came, but my growing belly certainly changed my apres ski wardrobe, so I thought I’d share what I wore on our Christmas trip to Park City this year in case anyone else is wondering what to wear on a ski vacation when pregnant.
Dressing for a ski vacation when pregnant is actually easier than other types of trips IMO. Leggings, oversized sweaters, and big parkas with cozy, furry boots can be worn just about everywhere, so you don’t really have to worry about squeezing into anything and being uncomfortable. In fact, I found it much easier to dress for this vacation than when I was hiding my bump before we were ready to reveal the news, or to other holiday events and parties when it started to get tricky to find something that would fit. So if you’re heading someplace snowy and expecting, here’s what to wear on a ski vacation when pregnant.
