A few years ago pleased skirts came back into style and since then, it feels like every blogger is constantly wearing them. It’s one of the few trends that has longevity and has become, dare I say it, a classic. But with good reason. A pleated skirt is versatile and easy to wear a million different ways, but it also feels unique, if that makes sense.
A pleated skirt is one of my favorite pieces to wear to work (I’m eyeing this one for spring). I love how it gives a typical skirt some interest and shape and yet feels appropriate for running from a fashion show to a meeting to my son’s school play. Sometimes separates can seem like they’re more difficult to put together versus just throwing on a dress, but you can wear a pleated skirt with anything. I love to pair pleated skirts with everything, from tees and moto jackets to sweaters, button-ups, and even off the shoulder tops.
They’re also versatile enough to wear round. You can team a pleated skirt with boots and a sweater during the colder months, and in summer, I love the look with cute sandals and a short sleeve top. It’s also an easy piece to dress up or down. Wear a pleated skirt with a graphic tee and sneakers for a more casual vibe, or pair a pleated skirt with a button-up and pumps for a classic office look.
Here are some of my favorite ways to style a pleated skirt.

Awesome post. I love the skirts displayed here. Black is my favorite color.
Such a radical set of photographs! Gotta love pleated skirts in nude color but that emerald green is a total stunner!
