Spring has finally sprung-ish. It’s weird because I always get slightly depressed at the start of spring. I think it’s because I’m still doing the same old, same old (work, James, blog, sleep, repeat), but it’s so nice out that I feel like I should be outside enjoying it more. Idk. Does that happen to anyone else? Anyway, I do enjoy dressing for spring much more than winter, especially after what feels like 4000000 days of winter. Tbh, I’ve held off on buying too many spring dresses and clothes because it’s been so cold, it’s just seemed pointless, and now I feel like spring just snuck up on me, and I need some cute spring clothes. So stay tuned for some spring shopping guides. In the meantime, I”m rounding up what I wore the last week of April 2018.
It was a busy week at work with panels and work events and key meetings, so I dressed up every day. I found myself leaning into shorter dresses. I work in a more fashion-forward and casual office, so I can get away with more in terms of office wear, but I find dresses that hit at the knee or just past are fine for the office and not too short but can be a bit more fun than a midi or a maxi, especially as the weather warms up. I did whip out the jeans towards the end of the week, but tried to dress them up with pretty tops.
Here’s what I wore this week for work, a panel I was on, some work and after work events, and a mid-week heat wave! Here’s what I wore the last week of April 2018.
