I have to admit, I haven’t been the best about my blog franchises since Covid hit. I have struggled to take care of our two kids, adjust to working full time remotely, finish our renovations and settle into life in our new home. I’ve mostly just posted as ideas hit and I’ve found pockets of time to blog, usually when I can’t sleep at night because I’m so stressed about every decision I have to make. But we’re starting to get the swing of things now that we’re a couple if months into fall, James is back in school, and working from home is starting to feel second nature.
Right now, my brain is often so overwhelmed that when I do sit down to blog, I can’t think of the millions of things I previously wanted to say, so I’m going to try a new tactic and start focusing on franchises again. That way, I can keep on track, I know what I’m writing each week, and I can focus on the fun things I have always loved covering. My monthly wish list was one of those, but let me know if you are over it. I am thinking I’ll also do What I Wore This Week every Friday, try to resurrect Motherhood Mondays and maybe do a home type franchise on Wednesdays, but let me know what you think and what you’d like to hear from me.
In the meantime, I have been shopping for some more fall clothes. Even though my top half is often all anyone sees, I feel like I need to step up my game for work. Plus, I have found so many cute fall dresses, sweaters, and shoes that I may just start getting dressed up for drop-off simply to have an excuse to wear them.
So for my wish list for November, I included some more practical flats and sneakers and sweaters for every day but also some dresses and a cute clutch I’ve been eyeing that I’m thinking maybe I’ll wear on Thanksgiving or for my next big virtual work event.
