It’s funny that I’ve had this blog for awhile now, but I haven’t really shared that much about my love, obsession for home decor until recently. For years while working in magazine publishing in the city, I dreamt about quitting my job and the city and moving to the country and fixing up old houses, basically living my Joanna Gaines dream. Sadly, I am not married to a Chip (well, not in terms of being handy). But we did purchase and work on our first fixer upper and it turned out quite well and I think the hubs enjoyed it too (although he might never admit it as I made him ride the contractors and do the heavy lifting while I made the design choices and complained when things weren’t ready lol). This past year, I have ha opportunity to flex my design obsessed muscles after we moved to a new house in the suburbs, and have more space to decorate and a new blank slate (well, kind of). When we first moved in, one of the first things I did was order chairs and counter stools from one of my favorite home retailers — Serena & Lily. And I’m thrilled to say there’s another Serena & Lily Sale happening right now — and it’s good.
I’ve always had a thing for Serena & Lily’s classic coastal vibe. I just love the clean, classic furniture designs, the coastal-inspiration and their linens. James’ nursery was all based around Serena & Lily crib sheet, curtain and rug I fell in love with. Charlotte’s room now has their wallpaper, as does the kids’ bathroom. Right now they’re having an amazing Serena and Lily sale for Memorial Day, and it’ts got so many of my favorite things on sale, including many of the items in our home. It’s the perfect time to grab some throw pillows or table linens, bedding for a baby, or even some big ticket furniture. These are my favorite Serena & Lily sale finds.
