I used to be anti wrap dresses. I didn’t like the way they made me look hip-y, and I felt like I was constantly adjusting to make sure my cleavage wasn’t hanging out or I wasn’t accidentally flashing too much leg. But lately I’ve been a convert thanks to brands like Ganni, Tanya Taylor, Rhode Resort, who are making longer versions that are far more flattering and easier to wear. I have invested in a few wrap dresses recently in different prints and they’ve gotten me through pretty much every event I’ve had, from work to weddings and showers to cocktails and even Fashion Week, making them well worth the investment. When it comes to wrap dresses, I’m finding that floral prints are my jam — they feel a bit more versatile and are easier to really dress up or really dress down IMO, but a solid wrap dress can be incredibly chic especially for the office. Plus, florals make a pretty backdrop to contrast with different pieces to get more out of your wrap dress. As. new convert, I wanted to share my tips and ideas for how to style a wrap dress.
When it comes to figuring out how to style a wrap dress, it’s not just about your shoes and accessories, but what you wear on top too. A leather jacket toughens it up, a boyfriend blazer takes you to the office, an oversized sweater lends a cozy vibe, and serious heels and killer earrings make it cocktail ready.
I’m such a big believer in this closet staple, that, today, I’m showing you how to style a wrap dress five ways.
