The ’70s may be dominating fall fashion, but the ’60s are making a cameo too, delivering the season’s must-have boots. Whether in patent leather, velvet, or a sparkly glitter finish, in black, navy, or rich burgundy, square-heeled mod booties were seen on just about every street styler during fashion month. The thing I love about them is that unlike most statement shoes, they’re totally wearable. This statement boot works with everything from jeans to dresses and skirts of all lengths, no matter what finish or color you choose. And best of all, the stack heel gives you height but is low enough to be worn all day and night long. Wear them with the season’s array of mini-skirts and printed dresses, or pair them with a button-front midi skirt or breezy boho dresses. But personally, I love how they look with cropped flares — it’s such a fresh way to show off your cool “it” shoes.
