What to Wear This Weekend (No. 59)

by krismkoch

After spending a couple weekends at home and around the burbs, we’re finally heading to the lake to enjoy what will feel more like official summer. Which to me means walking Dakota around the lake and playing catch with her in the yard, sailing, canoeing and rowing (or sunning myself while my husband¬†rows) on the lake,¬†grilling corn and just about everything else, running to town for ice cream cones, and making s’mores by the fire (or cuddling up inside by the fire to avoid Zika). Kind of sounds pretty perfect, huh? I forget how much I love summer sometimes. Ok, I don’t really. While the dress code upstate is way cas and I’ve got slim-pickings when it comes to what fits, I have been making an effort to step up even my casual style. I figure when the baby comes, I’m going to be probably end up in sweats a lot so I feel like I should do my best to look cute now, even if it’s just me and the hubs and my belly is getting bigger by the day. This weekend also happens to be Father’s Day though, which means we’ll need to dress up a bit for some Father’s Day festivities in the burbs with my in-laws.

Whether you’re heading to brunch or the beach, here’s how to look cute and comfy all weekend long.
