We just got back from the Hamptons, and I’m already clamoring to go back. It’s funny because I didn’t think I would want to spend this summer there, but after a whole winter at home, I didn’t realize how much I needed a change of scenery, how much we all did really, and I forgot how much I love it out there. We used to go out every summer and then I was really pregnant with Charlotte and then the pandemic hit, and then we didn’t go out there for a couple years and I missed it. Now, of course, we’ve gotten bit by the bug and want to return for a longer stint next summer and I’m already looking at real estate (the dream is to have a beach house out there one day). While I peruse listings, I thought I’d think of all the cute Hamptons outfits I’d pack in hopes I can manifest a house for us to stay in. That’s how the whole manifesting thing works, right? (It’s like fashion math, no?) If you’re lucky to enough to be spending your summer out East or trying to score a last-minute rental like us, I’ve put together a guide for wear in the Hamptons in summer.
I believe when out at the beach, you should feel free to relax your dress code a bit. The key is to be comfy and not fussy. My uniform tends to be cutoff shorts and a striped tee (inspired by Hamptons celeb Gwyneth Paltrow), or a swimsuit and cute cover-up or beach dress thrown over. With that said, it’s summer and we’ve all been cooped up for an entire winter, so there’s lots going on — parties, bbqs, pool parties, and restaurants to visit. So I always like to bring pretty dresses that I’ll pair with my favorite white sneakers or flip flops for daytime and comfy sandals or wedges for nighttime. I find dresses to be comfy and easy to just slip on, which is about all the effort I want to put into getting dressed when we’re out at the beach. I always toss in a couple cardigans and sweaters for chilly nights along with a pair of white jeans. Scroll down for more inspiration for what to wear in the Hamptons in summer.

Annoyingly, I only can see a giant advert when I click to your blog on my phone. Guess I won’t be seeing what you wore to the Hamptons after all. Glad to hear you had fun!

Oh no. I’ll look into it. The ads help me support this site so I can do this, but I know they can be annoying. I’m sorry you weren’t able to get the content you wanted to see. Let me know if I can help you find anything.

Do you ever post your size in the items? Cant seem to find and not sure how things run and usually size guidelines on websites are soooo off!
