I’m actually a few weeks behind in sharing my outfits each week (and on this blog in general), but I’m trying to get back on track with these posts (and get my insta husband to stop slacking). I think I can say I officially milked summer for everything it had, wardrobe-wise at least, and it is time to break out the sweaters (tear). After trying to extend summer with some freezing trips to the pool and getting goose bumps in my sundresses, I think I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that fall is actually here (crying just thinking about what winter at home with the kids will bring as we continue to live through this pandemic). You’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the first week of October 2020, that I’m finally transitioning my wardrobe for fall. I couldn’t completely give up my white dresses and summery prints, but I’m trying to fall-ify (is that even a word? Definitely not) them with sweaters, closed-toe shoes, and more seasonally-appropriate accessories.
Transitional dressing is always tricky, especially when it’s cool in the mornings and then warmer in the afternoons, and you’re trying to wear one outfit for the day. I find the easiest way to dress for the days where the temps are fluctuating is to throw sweaters over summer dresses for drop off (yes! James went back to school … more on that soon) that I can then easily toss in my bag by the time it warms up again for pick up.
Here’s what I wore the first week in October 2020 aka my week in outfits.
