Yep, still pregnant and still hot as balls here. I’m refusing too accept defeat though and just wear the single black tent I relied on at the end of my last pregnancy wiht James, or hide in my husband’s old t-shirts until baby #2 arrives. So I’m trying my best to find things that can fit me now and I can wear after the baby comes, as you’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the second week of August 2019. I hate buying anything at the end of my pregnancy, but alas, nothing was fitting, so I invested in a few pieces that I can wear postpartum as well. And then I’m just trying to get creative with the few pieces I have that still fit, like this beach dress/mumu that I’m obsessed with but preciously wouldn’t have considered a work dress per se. I can’t believe it’s only two weeks until my due date and I could have this baby any day! In the meantime, I’ll be desperately trying to get everything done at the office and home.
This week, I really stuck to my end-of-pregnancy uniform aka dresses. Really, when you’re this large and in charge and it’s this hot out, it’s the only option. Pants are not happening. The funny thing is that these aren’t all maternity dresses. In fact, only one is and the rest are all great options that would look cute sans bump and will work well postpartum. I work in a more creative environment, so I have a bit more leeway in what I can wear, but some of these dresses would be great in a more traditional corporate environment too but also work for a spring party and take you into summer. I love good dresses because they’re just so versatile.
