OK, it’s not quite jacket-free weather, if we’re going to be honest with ourselves. But if you’re like me, you’re so over your trench coat and moto jacket and just can’t with lightweight jackets when there are dresses to buy. That’s why this styling hack that shows you how to wrap a scarf to basically make it a wrap is everything. It’s like the cooler version of the pashmina, largely just because you’re wearing it during the day and not to a wedding. You can buy an oversized scarf slash wrap and call it a day, but if you’re like me and have a million big scarves, you can just wrap it around you like a shawl and you’re good to go. Prints make every outfit a lot more exciting, but I also find a neutral wrap incredibly chic for spring or fall as well. It’s sure to go with everything. The beauty of this sartorial trick is that it’s great for cold offices, like mine. So if a jacket doesn’t go with your outfit (or you don’t want some ruffles or puff sleeves covered by a jacket), or you don’t have one in your closet that will do the trick, just wrap an oversized scarf around you and you’re good to go.
If you’re over jackets too, I’ve rounded up inspo for how to wrap a scarf (this is one of my favorites I’ve already snagged). It’s a great topper for pretty much any outfit. The best part is, if you’re like me, and also inevitably spill coffee on yourself before you even reach your desk (or you know, it’s just freezing in your office), it makes a perf coverup.
