I’m not one of those people who is obsessed with Halloween. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Scrooge about the spooky holiday. I get my kids costumes, take them trick or treating, and buy candy for the kids in our nabe (ok well, admittedly, I only did it for the first time last year). I even dress Dakota up, paint pumpkins with the kids, and sometimes throw on some cat ears myself. But I’m not the type to plan a coordinated family costume months in advance, bake and decorate creepy treats, and turn our home into a crazy haunted house. With that said, Covid and all that we missed out on during it, really has me getting into a festive mood for every holiday. And now that we’re in our new house, I’m feeling like doing something fun for the kids this year and throwing a small little party with their friends for after trick or treating. Maybe it’s all the cute kids Halloween party decorations I’ve been seeing. It just makes me want to throw our own spooky soiree.
Our kids are still young obviously, so I’m not going to go too crazy with the scary stuff and I’m not ready to be that neighbor who creates a haunted house (not sure I’ll ever be tbh — I like to play to my strong suits). But I do like the idea of getting a bunch of cute kids Halloween party decorations to dress up our house and having some of James and Charlotte’s (and our) friends over for pizza and treats post-trick or treating. I know I’m not the only one starting to feel super festive this year, so I rounded up the cutest kids Halloween party decorations. They’re perfect whether you’re helping at their class party this year or throwing your own little party at home.
