When it’s slushy and snowy, heavy-duty, treaded, waterproof boots are the only option. Whether you plan to change into heels the moment you arrive at the office, or will be running around all day in your snow boots, you don’t have to let the snow day footwear cramp your style. I love pairing them with jeans and chunky sweater and parka for a casual weekend or school drop off look. I’ll swap in leggings for jeans if I’m feeling black or just need some stretchy pants. To dress up a casual snow boot outfit, I love white jeans and a creamy sweater. It’s a perfect chic winter white outfit that’s still snow day appropriate. Those are my favorite ideas for how to wear snow boots, but of course, you can also get creative and pair with a skirt or dress. Just add tights and if it’s snowing, no one will judge. It’s how you’ll find me when commuting to the office on snow days because you know I’m not ruining my work heels with slushy salty snow.
Winter is coming so now’s the time to invest in some good waterproof footwear that will keep your feet dry in the snow and slush. I love Sorel boots for a nice waterproof, classic and versatile option, but fur lined boots like Uggs will always be a go-to in my wardrobe. I don’t care how often they go in and out of style, if I have an option to wrap my feet in fur in the dead of winter, I’m going to do that. I also love options from No. 6, Rag & Bone, Hunter and even Sam Edelman if you’re looking for a waterproof boot that’s also stylish and doesn’t scream “snow boot”.
