Showing skin at work used to be (and still is) considered by many the ultimate faux pas, especially if you wanted to be taken seriously. But now like everything else, workplace dress codes are a little more lax (or is it just that I’ve always worked in a creative industry with an equally creative dress code? Hmmmm.). Well,I suppose it doesn’t totally matter, because let’s face it, if you’re a lawyer at a traditional suit-and-tie law firm, this post probably isn’t for you (but feel free to keep reading for the eye candy). But the fact is, even if you work in the most lax of work environments where anything goes for the dress code, you still don’t want to show too much skin that it’s distracting or all people can think about when you’re trying to talk biz. But there is a tasteful way to master the crop for work — the trick is to show an ever-so-subtle flash of skin by pairing a longer crop top with a high-waisted bottom for a look that’s slightly rebellious but in that super stylish way without being vulgar or inappropriate for the the office.
