Yes, it’s still technically summer but school is starting so that makes it fall, right? I’m already seeing the pumpkin decor, and feeling the pressure to transition my summer wardrobe into fall and it’s still 80 degrees outside. But we have experienced some cooler days and evenings here on the East Coast that has me feeling fall sooner than usual. With the prospect of getting dressed again this fall looming — for everything from going to the office to school drop off and pick up — I’m starting to shop for fall clothes. I purged quite a bit during a pre-move closet clean-outs and frankly, am craving a wardrobe refresh for fall. The new school year always feels like a fresh start, and I’m applying to my closet as well. With that said, I’m not planning to go too crazy with the fall shopping. I’ve also learned over the years to be smarter with my purchases and invest in quality over quantity. I just don’t need that much, so I put together a fall capsule wardrobe to help me make the most of my purchases and to make getting dressed again easier.
I know I’m not the only one feeling both excited and anxious about fall’s arrival (or just me?). There’s going to be so much going on once again, and also a lot of uncertainty once again. I know that with getting two kids off to school in the morning and myself ready for work and meetings, it’s going to be total chaos, so I’m trying to streamline the mornings by plotting out outfits I can just throw on and go in advance. That’s why I find it really helpful to put together a fall capsule wardrobe with easy outfits for every event and occasion. From working in the office to school drop off to date nights and trips to the pumpkin patch, here’s what to wear for every occasion this fall.
