I know I should be all happy and excited that the weather is warming up, winter is over, and summer is coming, but I always tend to get depressed in spring. Maybe it’s that I never feel quite ready for it, and I feel like my wardrobe, my pasty legs, my non-beach bod, my life isn’t ready yet and instead of taking advantage of the nice weather, I’m just trying to get my life back on track. A big part of it is that dressing for spring is hard. It’s like as soon as it’s nice out, you don’t want to be wearing anything in your winter closet, last year’s spring/summer clothes feel like been there, done that, but you also aren’t sure if you want to invest a ton in spring clothes when it’s almost summer. But then getting dressed is so hard, and everyone else looks so fresh and springy and you vow to never buy a whole new wardrobe as soon as you get home from work that night. Just me? In any event, I’m going to try to be (semi) proactive (although given it’s May, I’m actually really late to the game), and purchase a few smart investments for spring that will hopefully take me into summer and I’ll still be excited to mix in come next year.
