Getting dressed for work every morning can be hard enough let alone trying to figure out what to wear to work when it’s freezing outside. Personally, I find it especially challenging to get dressed for the office when it’s too cold to breathe and you have to deal with a dangerously cold commute and an office fluctuating between under and over heated but never quite right (or is that just my office?). You want/have to still look profesh and polished (so a snowsuit is out of the running), but you also have to deal with things like shoes that can navigate snow and ice (or wearing the dreaded commuter shoes and hoping no looks down at your feet on your way in), tights and socks, bulky sweaters and scarves, layers, etc. etc. I’ve found that getting out of bed when it’s cold and dark is hard enough without having to worry about looking cute and put-together, so I’ve decided to pick out some go-to cold weather outfits that I can wear to work to get me through the rest of winter with more snooze time and less outfit picking-out time. If you’re struggling to figure out what to wear to work when it’s freezing outside, here are some of my favorite cold weather outfits that are office-appropriate. And if you’re looking for more winter outfit ideas, check out my winter capsule wardrobe with outfit ideas for every occasion, my winter mom uniform, and if you’re hitting the slopes to make the most of the cold, here are my favorite apres ski outfits and what to pack for a ski vacation. But if you’re stuck at the office for the foreseeable future, cold weather be damned, get inspired by these office-appropriate cold weather outfits.
