Clearly I don’t go to a lot of bachelorette parties these days. Most of my friends are married (or happily unmarried) at this point. Let’s be honest, I attend far more baby showers and kids birthday parties lol. But recently, I was invited to a few bachelorette parties for some good friends and family members, and I realized I needed to do a post on what to wear to a bachelorette party because it’s been a minute for me. While I typically don’t feel a need to dress like a teenager and in fact, I have been dressing like a coastal grandma since I was a teenager, I think my mid-life crisis is kicking in, because I have been all about dressing up for these celebrations. I feel like it’s a fun excuse to break out the heels and sequins and mini skirts.
Of course what to wear to a bachelorette party really depends on where you’re heading and what the activities are — you’re not going to be wearing the same thing at a bachelorette in Vegas as you are for one in Charleston or at Canyon Ranch (or in Paris, which is where I have one coming up). But the reality is that regardless of where you are headed adn what’s on the itinerary, it is a fun excuse to dress up and have some fun. It’s often a fun girls weekend or night out, and there’s really nothing more fun than that, especially when you haven’t had one in awhile like this mom. Regardless of the plan, I like to add in something festive, whether it’s a rufflly top, a mini skirt, a sequin dress, or a fun pair of pajamas, to mark the equation. Here are some ideas and inspiration for what to wear to a bachelorette party.
