I recently went to Ann Taylor Loft to check out their Lou and Grey collection that my best friend and some of my favorite bloggers have been raving about. Honestly, I was skeptical. I just always think of Ann Taylor…
How To Wear Oversized Sweaters (Without Looking Like A Slob)
It’s my kind of trend — big, baggy, and comfy. Oversized sweaters look so effortlessly cool with everything this winter, and they’re my default when it’s mid-winter and absolutely freezing out. (Coincidentally, they’re also great for hiding a bump or post-baby pooch.) I love the combo of an oversized sweater over a dress or midi skirt, but the look is also super chic with skinny jeans or cropped pants. Here are my favorite ways to wear an oversized sweater.
Easy Outfit Formula: Long Sweaters + Pencil Skirts
Pencil skirts get the cozy-cool treatment with a long tunic-style turtlenecks and boyfriend sweaters. With heels it’s dressy enough even for more traditional nine-to-fivers, or with sneakers, it’s perfectly casual for creative types. Shop the Look:

Poncho Outfit Ideas
If you’re embracing fall’s boho vibe, skip the jacket and make a poncho your go-to layering piece for beating the seasonal chill. With jeans and a tee or turtleneck, it’s cozy but has a slightly less expected look than a sweater for weekend brunching and erranding. But I love how even in a chunky knit, it can look incredibly chic in that sophisticated wish-I-was-that-kind-of-working-woman way with a pencil skirt or tailored sheath and heels. The best part is, unlike a jacket that can feel confining with too many layers stuffed under or inadequate (or just basic) without, it’s room leaving you completely unencumbered and yet it’s genius at disguising whatever’s underneath — a ratty tee worn sans bra on a coffee run, a bump you’d like to keep away from prying eyes, or a bulge you’d rather not see.
Easy Outfit Formula: Culottes and Turtleneck Sweaters
Let’s face it: Culottes aren’t the easiest pants to wear, partly because they come with the reputation for being unflattering. The rules of proportion would tell us that you should pair their wide, roomy fit on bottom with something more fitted…
Everyone’s Wearing: Lace-Up Shirts
I hate the term “going out” top, and I’m not the only one who feels this way. It just feels so cheesy, early 20s, clubbing/frat partying. But that doesn’t eliminate the need for a dressier top for a night out, which is…
How To Wear Sweater Vests
In wool, cashmere, and comfy knits, the must-have layering piece couldn’t be cozier. Proportions are key. A cropped style balances wide-leg culottes, and slouchy striped tees, or forget balance and go for Olsen minimalism, pairing long tunic-style sweater vests with long maxi…

Smart Buy: Uniqlo Robe Coat
The unseasonably warm weather we’ve been experiencing this fall means extended sweater weather. It’s still too warm for winter coats and honestly, I haven’t had much use for my fall coats either on these 60 degree days, making a sweater coat the…
