Packing for a beach vacation is always my favorite thing to do, especially when it’s the middle of winter and I’m so over all my winter clothes. All those summer shorts, sundresses, and sandals feel fresh again. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to pick up some of the pretty floral dresses and coverups that I’ve been seeing everywhere and lusting over. Still, since packing is never easy, I created a list of essentials to help make packing for your next beach vacation easy. Here’s what I’m packing for our upcoming beach vacation and a checklist with all the essentials you’ll need for yours.
What I Wore on My Fall 2022 Trip to the Bahamas
I am back from four days away and it feels like a lifetime ago, but gave me the much needed fuel I needed so badly. I went to the Bahamas with friends and it truly recharged my batteries in every…
What I Wore On Our February 2020 Trip to Florida
We just spent four sunny days in Florida visiting my family, and having a wonderful beach vacation. And it was just what the doctor ordered. This winter has been mild, so I can’t totally complain, but I feel like we’ve…
Best Swimsuits to Wear After Having a Baby
After I had my first baby, I was pretty chill about losing the baby weight. I was focused on enjoying being with my baby and adjusting to life as a working mom. The second time around, I had high hopes…
How We’re Spending Our Last Days as a Family of Three
One of the hardest parts about being pregnant with a toddler is this final stretch. You’re so big and tired that it’s harder to lift them and run after them, and all you want to do is relax on the…
What I Wore on Our Trip to Florida
We went to Florida for a long weekend to see family and unsuccessfully escape the polar vortex. Sadly, we arrived just in time for rain and it only cleared up as we left. So I packed a bunch of stuff I didn’t need, because it turned out to be cold and rainy, and my dreams of shooting great beach getaway content for you were squashed. However, the sun did come out for long enough that I was able to wear some of my favorite new beach dresses and snap a few pics. Even though it wasn’t the most photo-worthy trip, we had fun spending time with James and it was kind of nice not having to worry about looking cute for pics or dressing cute (it was basically just bundle up with whatever warm clothes we brought for the first two days). Still, I got to squeeze in some cute looks that I definitely recommend if you’re heading somewhere warm sometime soon.
The Perfect Beach Dress
I’d like to pretend I’m the type of person who wears cute dresses all the time, when I’m gardening (and that I garden, lololol), shopping, chasing after James. But the truth is, I am usually in jeans and a tee,…
What I Learned From Going on Vacation With Our Baby
Our most recent trip last week really made it clear how important it is to get away as a family sometimes. We were nervous that taking a vacation with a baby wouldn’t be relaxing at all, but by picking a really…
Escape From the City
Sometimes it feels like summer doesn’t really start until July. The weather this year certainly didn’t feel very summery until this week and with school, work etc it doesn’t feel like things start to slow down and the summer really…
What I Wore On Vacation This Week (No. 12)
We just got back from five glorious days in Florida and I am still riding high. We had such an amazing vacation and taking some time off and focusing on our family was simply the best! It’s funny. We always…
The Top I Wore All Summer Long
So I realize summer is basically over and you’re probably thinking about what you’re going to be buying for fall. But I’m milking every last bit of summer we have left. Partly because I feel like we barely had a…
Everyone’s Wearing: Straw Hats
Everyone knows you’re supposed to stay out of the sun, or at least keep your precious face protected while in it to avoid wrinkles. But growing up, hiding your face at the beach or pool wasn’t exactly chic. I remember…
