If I’ve learned anything from my years as a fashion editor, it’s that the smallest tweak, like say, a roll of your sleeve or cuff of a pant leg, can completely transform your outfit. Don’t ask me why — I still don’t completely understand it. But that “it” girl style that makes someone a street style star is so much less about having all the latest “it” items (though that certainly doesn’t hurt) and so much more about those subtle styling tricks. In fact, most of the hottest fashion bloggers tend to wear the same sorts of basics over and over, mixed in with the occasional “it” item like a gucci fur slide or a blanket coat. But it’s so much more about the way they style their outfit. The latest fashion hack I’m obsessed with is cuffing your pant legs. It’s a great solution if you don’t want to pay to hem your jeans. Not to mention, it’s a great way to put the spotlight on your shoes, where personally I like to spend my money. But, big of small, that cuff also adds a subtle ~something~ that instantly gives your outfit that je ne sais quoi. Don’t ask how. Just do it.
