That’s right, I’m hanging up my out of office sign and I couldn’t be more excited about it. For someone who rarely takes off work or her side hustle (this blog) or anything, I’m really looking forward to completely unplugging for a week. (And hopefully I can stick to that!)We’re headed to the Bahamas to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. It’s the first time we will be taking a vacation with my husband’s whole family — his sister and her family are coming too — and I think it’ll be really fun for James to spend time at the pool and beach with his cousins. He worships them, and loves having older kids to play with. It’ll be so nice for us all to be together and for us to have one last family hurrah before we hunker down for baby watch. No, I’m not worried about giving. birth in the Bahamas, but okay, maybe a little. But no seriously, I still have time.
I’m excited to spend a few days away and to hopefully, get some relaxation in before we go into extreme nesting mode and make sure we’re ready for Baby #2. I’m going to try to really take a break from work as much as possible and really lean into the out of office message, something I haven’t had a chance to do in forever. I want to soak up time with the fam and my little guy before he has a sibling and a newborn is taking over our lives. Something tells me it’s going to take us a a little time to adjust before we’re ready to start traveling again and having adventures. So I’m truly going to sign off and focus on family this week and may skip some blog posts next week. But follow along on Instagram and I’ll post a recap with everything I wore on vacation and highlights from our trip when we’re back. Plus, I have lots of good requested content coming your way, from my hospital bag to how we’re prepping James for a sibling to a fun beauty post and highlights from my baby sprinkle last weekend.
See you next week!
