Some days, I just feel like all I’m doing is running around, from meetings, appointments, shoots, playdates, and everything in between. On those days, I need an outfit that’s comfy enough for running to catch the subways, cabs, Ubers, James…. but that’s nice enough for meetings and appointments. On those days, I almost always go for some version of this outfit combo — jeans, a sweater, block heels, and a statement coat. The heels dress up the look but the block heel is comfy enough to run around in. I love this sweater because it’s fun and a bit more of a statement than my usual go-to neutrals, and has fun texture I can play with when I’m running late and anxious in the cab. My new go-to statement coat is a leopard print fur coat. I find it’s the perfect way to step up any jeans look for work, I instantly look fashun enough for any meetings, and this one is really warm and pretty cozy so it’s a great substitute for my usual parka. Recently, I’ve really been into these mom jeans. I can’t decide if they’re flattering but I like the cut, and they’re just enough stretch without being super stretchy or roomy. They’re also easy to move in, which these days is just as important to me. Obvs, I can’t forget my number one accessory — coffee. Here’s my go to casual winter outfit 2018.
Even though these block heels are pretty comfortable, I usually carry a fairly roomy tote and like to throw my sneaks in there so I can pop them on at the end of the day for the subway home and then I can grab Dakota and James for a walk and maybe some park time before dinner and bath time.
