My closet is pretty packed and yet I feel like I have no clothes to wear for fall. I am trying to be more strategic about my shopping habits and really only invest in a few key pieces for fall but that doesn’t help all too much when you need to look cute for work 5 days a week. Then there’s the fact that one day it’s like summer outside and one day it’s fall again. Since I am forcing myself to buy less and invest more smartly in what I do buy (aka splurge on things I really love), my current approach is to wear the eff out of everything I do buy. While I am not sure how I feel about this J.crew gingham dress I bought earlier this summer (I think it makes me look pregs), I am trying to skip the buyer’s remorse (even tho I did buy it on super sale, I still hate regretting a purchase and having it stare at me in my closet every time I don’t wear it) by making use of it into fall. Totally copying a style trend I’ve seen a few bloggers do with a Tory Burch sundress I love, I tried layering a tee under it and throwing a moto jacket over it for work the other day when it was hot and humid out but Antarctica at the office and cool by the time I left for home. I added my suede mules, which felt more fall than sandals but not as hot as boots for an 80 degree day. And even tho I still don’t know how I feel about the dress, I got ten million compliments so there you go. Maybe I do like it now. Here’s how to wear a sundress into fall.
